Default Interesting new suspension...

Quote:
NASCAR has suspended two crewmen for violating its substance abuse policy, including the former brother-in-law of Jeremy Mayfield. William David Keith, a spotter for David Gilliland in the Sprint Cup Series, is one of the two crewmen and was suspended Tuesday. Keith gave a deposition in Mayfield's legal battle with NASCAR, claiming he witnessed Mayfield using methamphetamines several times. Mayfield became the first driver last May to be suspended under NASCAR's toughened drug policy.
I wonder if this will affect our case at all...

Yeah, I think this goes directly to credibility.

The defense can also point out;
- Now we know why this guy knows so much about illegal drugs, he didn't get the knowledge from witnessing Jeremy
- They could speculate, maybe he tested positive for drugs before and in exchange for testifying agsint Jermey was not suspended himself

I'm sure NASCAR will try to spin it to make it look like they were "drug buddies" but that will be hard to do. This definitely is a credibility issue for this witness.
